This policy explains what personal data EarEqual collects, why, and what rights you have. It applies to the website earequal.com and to orders placed with us.

Who we are

EarEqual is operated by Marko Hiipakka, a sole trader (Empresário em Nome Individual) registered in Portugal under tax number (NIF) 278096190, at Solmar Business Centre, Avenida Infante D. Henrique 71, 9504-529 Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need:

• If you join our email list: your email address, so we can send product updates you asked for. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• If you place an order: your name, email, shipping address, and phone number, so we can process and deliver your order and contact you about it. The legal basis is performance of our sales contract with you.
• If you contact us: the email address and any information you choose to include, so we can reply.

We do not collect or store your card or payment details. Payments are processed directly by Stripe (see below).

Who handles your data for us

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run the business. They only process your data to provide their service to us:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives the payment and billing details you enter at checkout. See Stripe's own privacy policy for details.
• Zoho — our email service, used to send and receive messages.
• Netlify — website hosting.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

International transfers

Some of our providers (such as Stripe) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as required by Portuguese tax and accounting law. Email-list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and request a copy in portable form. To exercise any of these, email hello@earequal.com.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.

Cookies

This site uses only what is strictly necessary to function. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Changes

We may update this policy as the business grows. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
